Bayview Health Investigational Drug Services (IDS) provides pharmacy services to small and large clinical trial units, contract research organisations, pharmaceutical sponsors and individual investigators. We currently assist in over 80 trials ranging from first-in-human phase I through to phase IV studies.

Our service is managed by highly experienced clinical trial pharmacists and technicians who have GCP training and are dedicated to conducting your trial according to international and local standards of good clinical practice. Our team can provide a stand-alone service or integrate into your site/research team.
Our dedicated facility has restricted access, monitored security alarms and cameras, temperature-monitored ambient, fridge, freezer and deep-freezer storage capabilities. We also can accommodate schedule 8 ambient and refrigerated IP storage.

- Trial set-up and prescription templating;
- Drug accountability;
- Secure storage of investigational products (IP);
- Dispensing, including blinded IP;
- Aseptic compounding;
- Dispensing of PBS or private supportive care;
- Central pharmacy capacity with drug distribution to multiple sites or direct-to-patient;
- On-site investigator, pharmacist or monitor visits/training and participation in investigator meetings and site-selection visits;
- Feedback on pharmacy-related aspects of study design; and
- Supportive clinical assistance from our clinical pharmacy team.
